Yesterday I mentioned the Twitter war that Peter Facinelli (Dr. Cullen in the Twilight Movie’s) made with his friend Rob DeFranco.

There is a great YouTube fan video that really gives the details of the bet!!!

As of 2:41am EST on 6/14/09 @peterfacinelli still needs 382,493 followers on Twitter!!!  So please follow him if you have a Twitter account.  If you don’t, your missing out on alot of fun, I highly suggest signing up for one at Twitter.com

Peter Facinelli (Dr. Cullen) and Rob DeFranco have a major Twitter bet going on.

Rob bet Peter that he couldn’t get 500,000 followers by Friday June 19th.

Here are the stakes:

If Rob wins: Peter has to give Rob the back from his Twilight movie set chair (pictured above).

If Peter wins: Rob has to walk down Hollywood Blvd in a bikini singing all the single ladies with a sign that says “Twitter me”. Peter has promised to take video and YouTube it.

If you already follow Peter then you know if has had ‘Single Ladies’ in his head for a few days know, even going so far as to suggest that the song be played when Edward breaks up with Bella in New Moon.  Thanks for a fan made video, he later tweeted that maybe that wouldn’t work.

This is a way cool feature that I’m sure a lot of Celebs will be happy about.  Twiller just announced that they are beta-testing a “Verified Account” feature.  This will help people know if the Celeb, Agency, etc Twitter account they are following is the real deal.

Since Twitter became a huge hit a few months ago, alot of celebs, authors, etc have had to deal with fake Twitter accounts being setup in their names.

What does it mean?

With this feature, you can easily see which accounts we know are ‘real’ and authentic. That means we’ve been in contact with the person or entity the account is representing and verified that it is approved. (This does not mean we have verified who, exactly, is writing the tweets.)

This also does not mean that accounts without the ‘Verified Account’ badge are fake. The vast majority of accounts on the system are not impersonators, and we don’t have the ability to check 100% of them. For now, we’ve only verified a handful of accounts to help with cases of mistaken identity or impersonation.

One thing you can do if we haven’t verified an account you’re wondering about is to check the official web site of the person and see if there’s a link back to their Twitter profile. (Again, lack of a link does not imply impersonation, either.)

I’m sure a lot of Celeb’s and other Famous people will be happy that Twitter is at least trying to fix this issue of fake accounts.

You may “Misti why are  you not doing your own New Moon Trailer analysis?”.  The Answer is because I am so excited to see the movie that I’m having a hard time being critical of any of the 1 min 48 secs of New Moon goodness, and also I have managed to block out most of the book New Moon so I can’t really compare the trailer to that.

However, My friend Kim (and yes since we talk on Twitter a lot, I’m calling her a friend) over at Buddy TV put together a really good analysis of the trailer.

Here is just a peek at what she wrote:

Hit: The first 14 seconds are so beautiful. There are no words. The Edward and Bella kiss is great. We all know what she really wanted for her birthday.

Miss: Kristen Stewart is a bit too coy for Bella when asking for this kiss. Not by a lot, but after watching the trailer over and over again I just know I find something off about it.

Hit: The love confession is pure gushy romance perfection.

Hit: Alice’s over-enthusiasm. I really wanted Alice and Bella to develop a deep friendship in New Moon and this looks promising.

She also has a nice little slide show to go along with it.

The Twilight Lexicon has an article addressing this question (and Slade’s sudden Twitter deletion) , due to an audio clip released.

Wow, from the sounds of an audio clip up over at slashfilm.com, its sounds like David Slade, the director for the 3rd Twilight film “Eclipse” didn’t see Twilight and sounds like he actually hates the saga altogether.

This is a transcript from the article:

“…and so yesterday we were trying to find a movie to see and we’d seen all the good ones, you know, and there was nothing really coming out this weekend that we really fancied at all and having directed a vampire film and really gone for something completely different to the kind of romantic, you know, repressed hormone teen vampire movie we really weren’t interested in seeing Twilight but a lot of people said lets go so I wrote -

“Twilight drunk? No, not even drunk. Twilight on acid? No, not even on acid? Twilight at gun point? Just shoot me.”

[That’s like] a poem in a way [...] at this point excites me even though people think I’m a really violent and unpleasant person I actually do have this romantic violent side to me. Maybe I should have seen Twilight.”

I have yet to see “30 Days of Night” which is the vampire movie he directed, but due to these statements, I am greatly concerned Slade is only in this for the money and doesn’t give a crap about the making “Eclipse” an awesome movie.  Further more, those statements are kinda a big F**K you to Stephenie Meyer and Summit Entertainment.

David Slade better watch his mouth and his steps.  Cuz hell have no fury like thousands for Twilighters scorned!!!
