Now I never watched ‘Dark Shadows’ the 60’s vampire soap opera, but my Mom did and she loved it.  Now Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are taking that daytime drama to the big screen.  In an interview with MTV.com Burton says “One of the biggest challenges on ['Dark Shadows'] is to just capture that weird tone of the show”.   Depp will star as the series vampire Barnabus Collins.

Okay, so when I think of Rob Zombie what comes to mind is ‘Night of 1000 Corpses’ or the 2007 remake of ‘Halloween’, but when the subject of Vampires came up in an MTV interview, Zombie had this to say of Twilight:

“I think it’s cool… I did see ‘Twilight.’ It was fine. I had no problems with it. I’m sure I’d enjoy it a lot more if I was a 14-year-old girl!”

So there you have it, Rob Zombie, king of gruesome is okay with Twilight!!!

MTV Movies has some new ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ news for us!!!

********SPOILER ALERT*********

First is the split point between Part I and Part II.  According to Joshua Herdman (Goyle) the ending of Part I will be with Harry, Ron, and Hermione are taken by the snatchers.  Part II will start as they arrive to the Malfoy’s mansion.

Also up is a little re-write, Herdman also told us that his character will be the one who dies near the end of Part II.  If you’ve read the book you know that Crabe was supposed to die, but…since the actor Jamie Waylett (who plays Crabe) was arrested, charged and convicted with cannabis possession (marijuana), he is not expected to return to the series.

Twilight loving band Paramore’s new video for their single “Ignorance” just debuted on MTV.com this morning!!!!

“Ignorance” is the first single from their 3rd album “Brand New Eyes” out Sept 29th!!!

Viacom confirmed today that at the end of 2009, MTV will vacate their famed Times Square Studio!!!

MTV opened the Times Square studio in 1997, and it then became famous when it launched the show TRL with then host Carson Daily.  Since TRL went off the air last fall, Viacom (owner of MTV networks) doesn’t really feel the need to keep the 22,216-square-foot studio.

The studio is currently owned by SL Green.
