‘Dear John’ has managed to do what no other movie has been able to do in the last 7 weeks, knock ‘Avatar’ out of the top spot in the Box Office!!

‘Dear John’ (based of the Nicolas Sparks novel) pulled in $32.4 million over Super Bowl weekend, which was enough to beat out ‘Avatar’ whose weekend total was down to $23.8 million.

This weekend’s other new release ‘From Paris With Love’ came in at #3 with $8.1 million.

Next weekend we’ll see if the new Hollywood Heavy ‘Valentines Day’ can keep ‘Avatar’ out of the top spot.
