UPDATE – Neil Patrick Harris has been confirmed to host the 61st Annual Emmy Awards!!!

After getting fantastic reviews for hosting the Tony Awards, Neil Patrick Harris is now in talks to host the 61st Annual Emmy Awards that are set to air on Sept 20 on CBS.

Critics blasted the Emmy’s after last years choice of having 5 reality show hosts do the honnors of hosting the show.  If NPH were to host the Emmy’s it would also be a major plug for his show ‘How I Met Your Mother’, which is set to have its season premiere the next day also on CBS.

Besides hosting the Tony’s, NPH has also host the TV Land Awards and the Writers Guild Awards.

Whitney Houston’s loss is Eve’s gain.  Whitney Houston had turned down a chance to do a story arc on the Fox show ‘Glee’, and in turn Eve has been cast instead!!

Eve is set to start in 2 episodes so far as the rival school’s choir director.

‘Glee’ is set to debut (again) on Sept 16th on Fox

CNN has a video up on CNN.com discussing the draw of vampires and how the “new” vampire obsession has helped HBO’s True Blood hit awesome numbers in its first season.

The video then goes to explain how the vampires are so “in” right now that even companies such as monster.com, mini-cooper, and Gillette has start faux advertising campaigns aimed at vampires!!!

I do think they forgot to mention the vampire movie the kinda re-upped the vampire sucess in 2008 and that would be Twilight!!!  Don’t get me wrong vamps have always been cool, but The Twilight Franchise has help Vampires reach new levels!!!  Come CNN give us some Twilight love!!!

True Blood’s 2nd sesason starts this Sunday June 14th @ 9pm on HBO!!!

Congrats to Edie Flaco, Peter Facinelli (Dr. Cullen in Twilight), and the rest of the cast of Nurse Jackie, Showtime has just picked the series up for a second season!!!

Looks like Peter Facinelli will be playing doctor for quite sometime!!!

I haven’t seen the show yet as it takes a miracle of some sorts to get Time Warner to turn Showtime on, but I’m hearing its awesome!!!

Nurse Jackie is currently on Showtime on Monday nights.

Okay, so with news that The CW has picked up “The Vampire Diaries”, I thought I would post the main cast up for ya’ll to see.  

Take a look at the picture above, from left to right we have: Ian Somerhalder (Damon), Nina Dobrev (Elena), Paul Wesley (Stefan).

Now based off the way I pictured the characters in the book, the only casting that looks right is Ian Somerhalder.  In the book Elena is blonde and blue eyed, and I kinda pictured Stefan being taller.

Well, I guess we’ll see how this all plays out this fall on Thursdays @ 8pm on The CW!!!
