The first trailer for the Guy Richie directed Sherlock Holmes has been released!!!  The movie stars Robert Downey Jr as Sherlock Holmes and Jude Law as Dr. Watson.

Based off what I saw, it seems like I’m going to like this film; however I never really followed the books, so I won’t really be able to make a good comparison.

Sherlock Holmes was originally scheduled to be released on Nov 20th, that would put it right againist The Twilight Saga: New Moon.  The movie now has a release date of Christmas Day (12/25/09), which is a smart movie, I don’t know of a lot of movies that want to go up againist New Moon.

If you were a fan of Borat, then I’m sure you’ll get a kick out of Sacha Baron Cohen’s next movie…Bruno!!!  What I love is the movie isn’t even out yet and “Bruno” is already getting sued.

You may “Misti why are  you not doing your own New Moon Trailer analysis?”.  The Answer is because I am so excited to see the movie that I’m having a hard time being critical of any of the 1 min 48 secs of New Moon goodness, and also I have managed to block out most of the book New Moon so I can’t really compare the trailer to that.

However, My friend Kim (and yes since we talk on Twitter a lot, I’m calling her a friend) over at Buddy TV put together a really good analysis of the trailer.

Here is just a peek at what she wrote:

Hit: The first 14 seconds are so beautiful. There are no words. The Edward and Bella kiss is great. We all know what she really wanted for her birthday.

Miss: Kristen Stewart is a bit too coy for Bella when asking for this kiss. Not by a lot, but after watching the trailer over and over again I just know I find something off about it.

Hit: The love confession is pure gushy romance perfection.

Hit: Alice’s over-enthusiasm. I really wanted Alice and Bella to develop a deep friendship in New Moon and this looks promising.

Keven Williamson (Dawson’s Creek, Scream) is planning on doing a total reboot of the Scream movies that will most likely bring back some of the original characters.

Really?? Is Hollywood that starved for movie ideas that they need to reboot a movie that is less than 15yrs old?

So far, Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette are in talks to return.

Williamson is looking at the fall to start this new project.

The teaser trailer for Toy Story 3 has just hit the web.  It doesn’t really reveal anything in terms of plot, but it does show all the major Toy’s and the release date.  June 18, 2010 is when we get to see Woody, Buzz and the rest of the gang.
