Box Office: Harry Potter Breaks Record in Midnight Sales

With only 12hrs and 30mins into its first day of release, ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’ has already broken and set a new record for midnight showing sales.
Warner Bro’s reported this morning that midight showing of the 6th Harry Potter film grossed around $22.2 million dollars. Beating out Batmans ‘The Dark Knight’ from last summer!!
Say it with me now Holy SH**T!!!
I guess Warner Bro’s plan of pushing back the film by 11 months worked!!!
‘The Dark Night’ held the old record at $18 million, meaning Harry Potter beat them by $4 millon dollars!!
Based of those number alone, I’m going to go ahead and say that ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’ will also reclaim its title for hight grossing middle of the week opener, for which the latest Transformers movie stole 3 weeks ago.
Check back for more Box Office news as it comes in!!!
